28th November 2012
There is some interest in attending Falmouth Week in 2013, both from the dozen or so local boats and from visitors. Perhaps with a view to incorporating the Nationals another year? Dates are 11th to 18th August.
Please let us know which events you intend to go to, as that will help with our planning.

Northern Area Championships
The event is scheduled for Saturday / Sunday 8th and 9th June The event will (we suspect) be held in conjunction with the Sonata Northern championships, using the same course but with different starts.
Information about Sunderland Yacht Club can be found at www.sunderlandyachtclub.co.uk the accommodation list is up to date 2012, and can be found on the About SYC page also http://www.sunderlandyachtclub.co.uk/Central/_notes/Accommodation.pdf
We have a 2 tonne pillar crane to launch the boats and overnight moorings will be available. Due to time constraints on the crane you will not be able to sail the boats dry.
The club and bar will be open Saturday night and at the moment we are consulting to see what sort of evening you want
Food is available at the club house. Saturday and Sunday evening meals Saturday and breakfasts Sunday Bar from 12:00 midday each day.
We are going to be pushed for space in out compound with trailers so we would not be able to accommodate Camper vans as we usually do. There is a public car park to the north of the club should anyone want to use a camper van.
Looking at the tides and depending on entires we may be tight on water for lifting everyone in on the saturday morning. If people wish to arrive on the friday afternoon or evening we will have someone at the club to operate our crane, this will certainly ease things up and keep the stress levels down on the Saturday.
Updates - 7th April 2013
There will be free storage in the SYC compound for the two weeks prior to the Nationals at Scarborough.
